First Snow of Winter
Yesterday we awoke to our first snow of winter. Oh, we may have seen a few flurries before this, but nothing that stuck to the ground and certainly nothing that needed shoveling. But the morning of December 7, we had about 5" of snow on the ground in Meridian and yes, I was out with the shovel. Not much fun. But then later, I decided to go out with the camera and despite the cold, (the high for the day was probably in the high 20's) had fun and got some nice shots. I was pleased my skills with HDR, and processing with Lightroom, Photomatrix, Paintshop Pro, and Topaz filters have come together allowing me to get the look I was after.
The image above is captioned and the images in the slideshow below are captioned as well with location and exposure information. All were shot with my trusty Canon 50D and I used the same lens for all shots, my Canon 28-135 IS.
