On the road
Funny that in a week where I've taken hundreds of photos and traveled almost 1,000 miles through beautiful north Idaho to Coeur d'Alene and back through Washington and Oregon that I'd not have some killer shots to display this week. Fact is, I've been on part one of my tour of Idaho State Police regional offices taking trooper and other employees photos for their upcoming 75th Anniversary yearbook. Lots and lots of portraits. Good shots, but not really the material I'd display here.
Then there was the country I was traveling through, some of the prettiest anywhere with loads of good photo opportunities. But whizzing down the highway with places to be, there really wasn't time to stop and "smell the roses, (or shoot the photographs for that matter.) A pity in that there's so much material available. Perhaps someday I can take a road trip where photography is the only objective and I can stop whenever the subject matter presents itself with no place to be and no time to get there. That would be a great trip. This just wasn't it.
Tomorrow morning I'll hit the road again, this time to Eastern Idaho with stops in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Jerome. I prefer the scenery in the northern part of the state, but there's always photo ops available if you watch for them...and have the time to stop and do the photography!
Click the photos to see them larger and read caption and exposure info.
