Sony DSC-HX5v - 1/320 @ f/5 ISO 125 - Shot as .jpg and edited with Adobe Lightroom 5.2rc
September Grass
Many times, my weekly post for this Project 52 has been the result of lots of thought and effort. But then there are times when the events of the week just don't facilitate time for photography or the creative juices are running dry. This post probably falls into that category. Just this evening, knowing it was Sunday and time to make the post for the week, I simply took my little Sony DSC-HX5v point-and-shoot out with me when I took the dog for a walk. It was "magic hour", that time around sunset when the light is usually pretty. It's hard to make a bad photo when the light is so nice. Though it won't make my "best of" list for the year, I thought this shot was nice enough.
It also reminded me of a favorite song by perhaps my all-time favorite artist, James Taylor. The song is "September Grass" (follow the link to YouTube for a listen). As summer fades and we're finally getting some much-welcomed cooler weather, I'm hoping we do get a good month of autumn weather - my favorite time of year. If so, I'd like to post some pretty fall color photos in the weeks to come. We'll see if fate cooperates.
