WEEK 12 - March 24, 2013
Well... I've "gone to the dogs" this week. It's trying to be spring-like here in the last week of March, but typical for Idaho, we get a nice day and then it spits snow the next day. Yesterday was darned cold for this time of year, but today was a bit warmer and so when I had to run to Home Depot to get some boards to repair the back fence, I took Schatzi, our pet Miniature Schnauzer. She loves to go for a ride and even more, loves to run and play. I knew I'd be near a big soccer field which on a Sunday wasn't being used and so a great place to let her run off-leash. I hadn't shot anything for the Project yet, so I took the camera, figuring I could get a few shots. So here she is, ears flying as she ran.
After the errand it occurred to me to stop at the dog park so she could play some more and perhaps I could get some other dogs-at-play photos. This German Shorthaired Pointer was a real athlete, beauty in motion as he ran for a ball. I got
a few shots of him and might have done others, but my camera went dead and I hadn't thought to take a spare. No matter. Fun was had by all on this sorta-spring day.
